Rocket League Season 5 has been Live, let's check out what's new of it

Season 5 of Rocket League is now available on all platforms, and developer Psyonix has provided a detailed explanation of what's new. A Rocket Pass, a new Nexus car, a Starbase Arc (Aftermath) arena variant, and more are included in the new patch – v.2.08 if you want to be fancy about it.

The new Season 5 Rocket Pass has "70+ tiers of unique" rewards and is available in two versions, depending on how much you want. The premium edition costs 1,000 credits and offers you immediate access to the new Starbase: Arc map type, which is themed around an evil force invading the base. The new Nexus car also comes with a Spacedirt paint treatment, Hyperspace dynamic decal, and Cosmosis goal explosion, with the Nexus SC – its final metamorphosis – unlocking at tier 70.

There's also a package option for the pass, which will cost you 2,000 credits as of this post. This allows you to immediately unlock the Nexus and gain access to 12 additional tiers.

Players will be able to engage in a Heatseeker Ricochet limited-time mode starting November 18 that puts a twist on three new Rocket Labs arenas: Barricade, Colossus, and Hourglass. Season 5's first level of challenges is also available, allowing gamers to begin collecting new customization items.

The good news is that there are also some free Rocket League items to be earned. Now that Season 5 has begun, all players can get a Backfire Cruster Buster decal, a Happy Whale topper, and a Crescent Moon antenna.
