Psyonix has revealed the mobile game Rocket League called Side Swipe

Psyonix's Rocket League franchise has made its way into the smartphone ecosystem, with the announcement of a new game called Rocket League Side Swipe in the works.

The free-to-play title, which will be published later this year, is a standalone Rocket League experience developed for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Rocket League Side Swipe, according to the press release, will feature familiar game elements in two-minute 1v1 or 2v2 matches. Car customization, an online rating system, and advanced mechanics optimized for competitive players will all be present in the mobile reimagining.

Players in Australia and New Zealand were able to participate in a limited-time Regional Alpha test on Android via the Google Play Store on March 24th. In the coming months, Psyonix says it will have more detail on upcoming betas and the game itself.
